Slower swingers: club speed gains can beat ball speed loss

For slower swing-speed players, the instructor's rule of thumb is that the club head speed you gain can sometimes outweigh the ball speed you give up. He describes picking up roughly two to four mph of club head speed while dropping only a little ball speed, so the player ends up slightly quicker overall. Efficiency (energy transfer) is a bit lower, but the added club speed makes up for it.
