Release 3: the lob shot setup
For the lob (release three), over trouble with no green to work with, build a wide, almost driver-width base with the front foot flared 45 degrees and the lead knee over the foot. Tip the upper body slightly back to stay shallow so you can work the club under the ball, keep your weight centered and stable rather than swaying, and set the wrists very low - the third, maximum wrist position - to protect the loft.
