Accept six feet on extreme bunkers
This exceptionally short downhill bunker shot requires a playable lie; here, the instructor says the lie is not too bad. He says the serious part is not getting ahead of yourself and accepting that six feet past may be the best possible result. If the course demands this shot often, he exaggerates the short-bunker setup even more: wide-open face, very low body, open stance, down the grip, hands within the knees, and a cut-spin motion.

- Accept that sometimes a six foot past the pin is probably the best you can do.
- Wide open club face.
- Stand open for this.
- Down the grip.
- Super wide, super low.
- Keep the hands within your knees.
Why this context matters
The technique is conditional on a playable lie; the example is an extreme short-sided downslope bunker shot with about seven feet maximum to the pin.
