Toe-down open-face shot off a tight lie or divot
When the ball sits in a small hole or divot and must go up and stop, stand much closer and open the face to use the toe relief. Hold the club off the ground, swing out to in with no wrist action, and hit just behind the ball with the toe. The golden rule is never to hit the ball first.
