Slide the toe under a bad lie

For a severe short-game lie, the instructor opens the face, aims well left, swings more across, and adds a little release. He cues a wider backswing, not holding the finish as much, and letting the toe slide underneath.

  1. Open the face.
  2. Get more open with your feet.
  3. Feel like you're going out to this ball.
  4. Come through to this one.
  5. Go wider in the backswing.
  6. Let it release a little bit.
  7. Let the toe slide underneath.
