Trade shaft mass for added playing length
In this fitting example, trimming the very light shaft to 45 inches would leave it just under 50 grams, roughly 17-18 grams lighter than the player's current shaft. The fitter gives some of that lost mass back as length, building the club just over 45.5 inches with an expectation of more speed.
