Understand how a radial putter face compensates strikes

The instructor explains that a radial face curves like a wheel: leaning the shaft forward strikes the ball higher on the face, which adds loft at impact. Striking the lower part of the face from an upward angle of attack has the opposite effect and removes loft. They say this means the radial face compensates for the delivery, whether downward or upward.
