Why same-weight shafts feel different: balance point

Two driver shafts can have the exact same overall weight yet feel noticeably different because the materials are distributed in different parts of the shaft, changing its balance point. So when comparing shafts, a heavier-feeling one may not actually be heavier - you are sensing where the mass sits, not total weight.
