Target about 7 seconds of hang time per club
The fitter shares a launch check he has been using: you want every club to be in the air for about seven seconds. If a driver's hang time is below seven seconds, the landing angle is getting too shallow; if it climbs to around eight seconds, the ball is spinning more and flying higher. It is a quick rule of thumb for judging whether launch and spin are dialed in.
