Watch strike location, not just face angle, on putts

The instructor illustrates that where you strike the putt matters alongside your face angle: a face delivered about half a degree open with a centered strike still holes a 12-foot putt, but the same half-degree-open face struck about half an inch toward the toe adds roughly another half degree of deflection, magnifying how open the face is and missing the putt. They say the same delivered face angle with an off-center strike can make or break whether it drops.
