One-handed trail-hand drill to isolate the putting stroke

The instructor's second connection drill: hit putts one-handed with your trail hand (right hand for a right-hander, left for a lefty) while lightly holding that bicep against your body and feeling like you rock your shoulders. This isolates the stroke so the lead hand cannot influence it and the trail hand drives the putter. After about ten one-handed putts, add the second hand back and normal putts should feel a lot easier.
