With the driver, stay back and hit up on the ball
On the stomp-down move the instructor keeps his torso on the trail (right) side and stays back so he swings up on the ball to launch it in the air. He is explicit that this is the opposite of irons, where you hit down, and that staying back to hit up applies to the driver only because with the driver you are just trying to hit it as far as you can.
