Counter a mallet's extra launch with a touch of forward lean
The instructor says a mallet putter with its center of gravity set further back tends to launch the ball a bit higher, and pure-roll grooves with a tilted jaw are specifically designed to pop the ball into the air. They say a small amount of forward shaft lean at address can be added to counter that extra launch.
