Forged vs hollow-body irons: feel vs forgiveness
The fitter breaks down iron construction from solid to hollow. A forged iron is made from a solid piece of metal; there are also two-piece designs, cavity backs, and hollow-body designs. Hollow-body irons are more forgiving and produce tons of ball speed, while forged is better for feel but usually less forgiving. Many players choose forged specifically for that feel.
