Use less loft into the wind and up a slope

For a short uphill shot into a strong wind, Dan plays a low-spin option rather than a high-lofted one: a 'release one' with a pitching wedge, landing it into the upslope. His reasoning is that the reduced spin from using less loft makes the ball want to work forward into the wind and up the slope, then run out to the distance.
