Add distance with impulse, not swing length
Rather than lengthening your swing to hit the ball farther, keep the swing short and sharp and add distance through rhythm and impulse. The instructor keeps swing length fixed but changes the impulse to send the ball much farther effortlessly, reporting a 150-yard shot from a very short swing. Get the maximum distance you can from a short swing before you start going longer.
