Know most fairway shafts are cut-down driver blanks
The instructor points out that a fairway-wood shaft comes from the same 46-inch blank as a driver shaft and, in its raw form, most of them just get cut to length. They say that when it comes to a claimed high balance point, for most shafts that is more marketing than substance or true facts.
