Use your second-most-lofted wedge, not the 60
For soft landing shots Grieve favors your second-most-lofted club (for example a 56) rather than your highest-lofted. He argues too much loft makes speed hard to control because the ball slips up the weak face, so a 60 is a difficult club for most golfers; using the second-most-lofted teaches you to release and play it softer.

Grieve would label the 60 an emergency club; notes Woosnam carried no more than 53-55 loft.
