Retest at a weaker retro spec to isolate loft's effect
The testers weakened the iron to a retro spec, within one degree of the comparison club, to check whether the earlier result came only from strong loft. Spin rose by about 400 rpm, but distance remained surprisingly high and ball speed stayed fast.
