Consider a driving iron on a tight sub-400-yard par 4

The instructor's rule of thumb is to consider a driving iron on a par 4 under 400 yards when the hole is not wide open for driver. In his example, even a slight chunk or mishit travels about 200 to 210 yards and leaves less than 200 yards for the approach.

Why this context matters

The 200-to-210-yard carry and remaining approach distance are the instructor's example with the tested driving iron, not universal distances.
