Punch out of trees for position, not the green
When punching out of the trees, accept that it will take two shots to reach the green and don't try to reach it now. Just get the ball up there as close as you can for a good next shot, playing for strokes gained. The two keys the instructor names are making consistent contact and knowing how far the shot will go.
