Match wedge flight to slope and pin position

When pitching, read the situation before picking a shot: if the green slopes, land the ball so it runs up the slope, and to a back pin run the ball back rather than carrying it there. Carrying to a back pin risks missing long and leaving a difficult next shot. Choosing the flight to use the ground is what separates the thinking golfer.

Why this context matters

Framing for a wind-pitching lesson: use flight and roll instead of one standard shot.
