Only change a strong grip if it starts causing a fault
The player has a strong grip - left hand strong and right hand even stronger - which can tend to close the clubface and de-loft it. But because the player isn't hitting it too low and isn't hooking it, the coaches leave the grip alone; only if a hook pattern showed up (for example when chasing a draw) would they revisit it. A strong grip is not treated as a fault until it actually produces one.
