Prevent a hybrid from crowding the four-iron

Choose hybrid length and loft by checking its transition to the four-iron rather than treating the hybrid alone. In this case, a 42.5-inch, 19-degree hybrid was expected to travel above 230 yards and leave too large a gap over a four-iron carrying about 190 to 195, so the fitter considered more loft and a slightly open face.
