Let the lead heel come up to unlock the turn

Let the lead heel come off the ground in the backswing instead of forcing it flat. Allow the lead knee to move inward so the heel lifts, which unlocks the lower body for a fuller, more natural turn without strain - useful especially for players who aren't young athletes. The raised heel then wants to drop back down, helping transfer weight onto the front foot to start the downswing; the instructor cites Nicklaus, Snead, Hogan and Harrington.
