Lock your start line, then think only about speed
The speaker says a common putting mistake is trying to guide the putt down a line at a certain speed, treating those as one thing when they're actually two separate subjects - for example giving the putt a little extra left or right during the stroke on a breaking putt. He says the mind can only focus on one thing and takes a moment to switch, so a player doing that has totally forgotten about distance control.
