Treat this as one method for flighting down a mid-iron
On a seven iron, the instructor describes their own method: the first thing they do is bring their swing speed down, then control dynamic loft by bringing it down. They achieve the lower dynamic loft by feeling the club stay behind them more, so their body has to rotate to stay on top of it. They sum it up as two things: speed down and dynamic loft down.
