Choose a urethane cover for more wedge spin

The speaker explains that urethane-covered balls generate far more spin than firmer ionomer or cerulon covers. Because urethane is soft, the wedge grooves grab and take in the cover material at impact to generate backspin, whereas hard, rigid covers bounce off the face with no groove interaction. The speaker puts the gap at thousands of RPMs between a urethane ball and an ionomer product.
