Place a head cover ahead of the ball to hit up

Put a head cover about a grip-length ahead of your ball when hitting driver. Because most amateurs hit down too much on the driver, the head cover encourages hitting slightly up on the ball, which the instructor says helps launch it and adds roughly five to eight yards.
