Pick a driver shaft by feel, not just the numbers
The instructor explains that the shaft producing the best launch-monitor performance is not necessarily the right one. If a shaft does not give the golfer a good sense of where the club is and what it is doing, they will not be able to deliver it well. When a shaft feels like work, the golfer tends to try harder and do something that does not come naturally, so the fitter tries to factor in a shaft that feels effortless for the same or a better result.
