Match your putter's face rotation to your stroke arc
The instructor describes controlling the putter face relative to the arc of the stroke. He says there is a rate at which the face closes, and the aim is to match that rate to your stroke; whether you go straight back and through or aggressively arc it, both are fine. Matching the face angle so it returns square at impact is where he says you get the most consistency.
