Swap a 3-wood for a 5- or 7-wood if you lack speed

If you don't have the clubhead speed for a three-wood, it launches the ball too low even with a good swing, and you start trying to lift the ball for height, which ruins your swing. Most players are better off with a five-wood or seven-wood, and you'll hit it just as far, if not further, than you ever hit the three-wood.
