Set a stroke-size standard by measuring your footsteps
The instructor describes two approaches to putting distance: measuring the distance in footsteps and using a fixed stroke size for that count, versus judging distance purely by feel. She notes beginners lack that feel and struggle to control the distance of long putts, and says measuring your footsteps and setting a certain stroke-size standard lets you putt faster than golfers of the same skill level.
