Match sole width and bounce to your attack angle
Comparing two iron models, the instructor points out that the wider sole has more bounce, and that this player is not a steep player (attack angle negative two, which he calls pretty shallow). For a shallow attack angle he says a narrower sole would get in and out of the turf a lot better on the course.
