Clip a tape line's front edge for ball-first strike
For indoor practice on a mat, lay a tape line down as a starting line and feel like you fractionally clip the front edge of it so your divot is in front of the line. If you chunk it, the tape pulls back with you; if you hit in front of it, you won't touch the tape.
