Stop rotating the hands to fix a flared-open clubface
The most common fault the instructor sees is rotating the hands instead of folding the wrist. Rotating the hands flares the clubface open right away and drops the club under the plane, from where it is almost impossible to get the face back to the ball. That forces compensations, which slow clubhead speed and send the ball short and sideways.
