Clamp the grip to 8-9, then release to 1-2
The Handsy Golf coach sets grip pressure in two stages: first clamp the 'claws' onto the club hard at address, about an eight or nine out of ten, while locking the elbows. Then drop that pressure down to a one or two and maintain the light one-to-two for the entire swing. Once the elbows are connected and the claws are set, you don't need to increase the squeeze during the swing.

- when you clamp your claws to the club, you want to feel like the grip pressure in a sense is like maybe like an eight or nine, like really clamp it and lock those elbows
- And then from there, drop that pressure down to like a one to two
- Now throughout the swing, maintain the one to two, the entire swing
