Judge driver launch by CG, not the stamped loft
The loft number stamped on a driver head doesn't tell you how it will actually launch, because center-of-gravity location also shapes dynamic loft. Ian shows that two heads only two degrees apart in static loft can play five degrees apart in delivered loft, effectively a 13-degree versus an 8-degree driver, once CG (pushed back or forward) is factored in.
