Use six-iron landing angle to decide long iron vs hybrid
The instructor's method for deciding whether a golfer can handle a long iron or should move to a hybrid: look at the six iron first for a good smash factor, around 1.38 or higher, and a landing angle around 45 degrees. He describes 45 degrees as the threshold where a shot has more stopping power than outward motion; if the player can get above that 45, he figures they can handle a four iron.
