Lift the left heel for a bigger turn, but still load the hip
To create extra arc and room for a bigger turn on a distance drive, Xander Schauffele lifts his left heel on the backswing. The key checkpoint: you must still load big into the trail (right) hip. Just lifting the heel with nothing loading into that hip defeats the purpose, which is to cheat a bigger turn, especially for shorter players.
