Get the hands lower at the top of the backswing

The coach claims lowering the hands about three inches at the top of the backswing will add roughly 30 yards and add consistency, with the target being the lead arm on or slightly under the shoulder line. To train it, place a tilted alignment stick and swing under it on the way back, then keep the club under the stick on the way down instead of lifting the arms high.

Try it

  1. Just place a stick right here, a tilted angle.
  2. You're just going to swing under the stick and then keep it under the stick on the way down.
