Lead-side load drill to start the downswing
An exaggerated exercise to feel the lead side start the downswing: begin with your trail foot behind and push forward, letting your knee and everything move inwards so the trail side twists and loads into the ground. Once loaded it wants to push back, and the lead side then leads so the handle leads before the club fires. The instructor says this handle-leading move is what he does not see in amateur golfers.
