Set the putter to your line first, then set up to it
The instructor contrasts two ways to aim a putt: walking in with the putter and trying to line it up, versus setting the putter down to your line first and then setting up to the putter. He recommends the latter - read the putt, set the putter down where it lines up to your line, then set up to it and roll - so you decrease your ability to manipulate the face. He notes you can use a line on the golf ball to aim to.
