Aim straight or slightly left on pitch shots, never right

Craig Hanson says that across roughly 20,000 lessons he has never seen someone who pitches well while aiming right of the target. He says aiming right adds steepness and extra difficulty to the swing, and advises aiming straight or slightly left of the target when starting the shot.
