Build a wedge setup: feet together, widen, hip bump
A repeatable wedge setup sequence. Start with both feet together so the golf club rests perpendicular to your body, which shows where ball position should be (the club's leading edge matching the shaft line). Then progressively widen the stance until the outsides of your feet align with the outsides of your shoulders, and add a small one-inch hip bump while keeping the hips square, leaving about 70% of your weight on the front foot.

- Put both feet together — this helps you be square and lets the golf club rest perpendicular to you, indicating where ball position would be.
- Progressively widen out your stance to where the outsides of your feet are where the outsides of your shoulders are.
- Add a simple inch hip bump with your hips remaining square, which puts about 70% of the weight on your front foot.
