Match putter toe hang to your stroke arc

The instructor explains how to match putter style to your stroke. If your stroke has an arc (the putter comes back inside), choose a putter with toe hang: the extra weight on the toe helps the face rotate closed back to square through impact. If you have a straight-back-straight-through stroke, choose a face-balanced putter (typically a center-shaft mount or a double-bend shaft) so you don't have to rely on the toe closing to square the face. Quick check: balance the putter and if the face points up to the sky, it's face-balanced.
