Build arm structure with a letter-Y check
Form a letter Y with your arms and club: put the handle over your lead leg, grip it with both hands, hold the club up, and check that the face is square. Push your arms outward while keeping them connected to your chest so the elbows feel gently together. This establishes the swing-circle radius; extending bent arms during the swing makes that radius bigger and makes fat contact more likely.
