Throw the driver down to strike up on the ball

Addresses the worry that firing the club down will make you hit down on the driver. Because the driver's ball position is forward and your trail arm sits slightly behind the ball, throwing the club down makes it bottom out before the ball, so you actually strike up on it rather than down. The forward ball position converts the downward throw into an upward strike.
