Aim the ball inside the flange line for true center
The majority of putters have an alignment (flange) line on the back that you use to aim, but that line is not actually at the center of the putter face. The instructor's fix: keep using the line to aim, but set the ball just to the inside of it, because that spot is the true center of the face. He says striking the true center makes your face-twist numbers improve drastically.
