Use a neutral lead-hand grip that needs no manipulation
He describes bad grips as nothing more than manipulations to keep the face from rolling over. With a good, neutral grip he wants no manipulation, a grip where the face is square when the lead arm extends. That is why he calls the lead-hand grip such a critical part of the swing.
